I have a 2006 mercruiser 3.0 alpha 1 gen.11 I noticed the bell housing gasket on the sterndrive is split, will this let water into my sterdrive and is this a hard repair to fix. Also what gasket sealant do I need????
The gasket between the bellhousing and drive goes on dry. It is not a big deal to replace. I would check the alignment, bellows and gimbal bearing while you're at it.
