Thanks to everyone's good guidance I was able to pull my 140 mercruiser engine and seal rear freeze plug, and on the alpha one gen one,,,,,fix shift cable, install new gimbal bearing (after a 10 hour removeal), and attached just over 1/2 of the NEW bellows procedure.
It seems difficult to impossible to either find a vidoe of actual installation, or: actual step by step procedure from this stage, even the manual is confusing and not detailed or easy read.
Right now, I have Exhaust bellows on transom side, shift bellows on completely, Drive shaft bellows glued on bell-house side, and water hose sized, cut, and attached at both ends.
NOW, can anyone give a practical 1,2,3 procedure on how to put it all together from here and finish up???
Does exhaust bellows get attached and finalized first,,,,, or drive shaft bellows glued to transom side and finished first,,,,,----and do you reach in the inside somehow to get it to snap in place?
Do you use the exhaust bellows tool somehow at this stage...I can't see how to get it through the exhaust port to use it at this stage?
Also, where/how do you get it all done, finess it, put your hands etc.......everything is tighter than a bull's a-- at fly time.
If there was an actual video of the install phase that'd be cool, I can only find disassemble ones.
Thanks in advance.
