Gonna pull my drive soon and see what needs fixin. I'm gonna replace gimbal bearing and bellows and I've read lots of posts saying what a pain the exhaust bellows is to install and to go with the exhast tube instead as it is much easier. This will be my first time pulling the whole drive, I've done the lower and replaced impeller/pump and that was fairly easy. I have an Alpha 1 and a 4.3 V6 so would I see any other benefits using the tube? I hear it makes more noise so that is a negative for me, but if it is that much easier to install?...

Re: Bellows or Exhaust tube?

Hi Lew!

It will be easier to install.......a little more noisy....but not much!

I didn't have an exhaust bellows on my Cobra at all and there wasn't much noise difference at all between a bellows and NO bellows....

I don't think you'll be able to tell much difference....

Cheers,

Rick
