Bellows replacement AQ130C/270

Hey Everyone,


I'm replacing drive and exhaust bellows and I don't know what else.
What other wear and tear parts should I replace?
Also how do I drain o/d oil? If I take out u joint to inspect should I replace
cross piece(how many are there).

Thanks for any info!!!
I'm sure someone might have posted something like before but I cant find post.

Is it necessary to have an exhaust bellows with flapper?
I've seen some with/without whats the difference?

Have you replaced the intake fitting on top of the intermediate yet?
How are the drive shaft bearings? Did you reach in and see if there is any side to side movement?

drain the outdrive from the drain plug in the bottom.

If there is play in the ujoint, you should replace it. There are two.

You do not need the flapper in the bellows, your flapper is on the exhaust outlet on your outdrive instead. Most 280 outdrive so not have the flapper on the exhaust like your 270 and my 275 have.

The 270s don't need the bellows with the flapper. The exhaust port out the back SHOULD have the flapper on it.
