Belt Replacement

I need to replace the alternator belt on a 1984 mercruiser 4 cylinder. It appears that I will need to remove the motor mounts and somehow raise the engine a little to slide the belt under the front to be able to replace it?

Ayuh,.. If it's the 3.0l,...
Pull the 2 bolts on the portside,+ the spacer block will slip out, allowing belt swaps....

Buy 2 belts and zip tie one out of the way so the next time you will not have to touch the motor mount...
