Hello,
I have a 2017 Mercury 25 efi Model # 1A25411EK
and I recently discovered it was “making oil” so after reading a few threads here I decided to change the thermostat and low pressure fuel pump. The thermostatdid not appear to be stuck open, and I’m not sure what is the best way to test the fuel pump to see if it was dumping fuel into the crank case. It may take a while to find if the problem is resolved by running the boat, plus it’s raining here for the next few days and I’m anxious to know if the pump replacement was the answer or not.
