Benefits of a new prop

Hello,

I am new to the boating world and just picked up a 2005 Four Winns with 5.0 Volvo Penta. It has the standard 3 fin prop.

I was wondering if there are after-market props that would provide either better power (top speed or launch) or fuel efficiency?

I am doing research but I know these forums have some very knowledgeable people.

First and foremost proper propping requires gathering information. Need a baseline on your current situation. There are many threads on this site that discuss how this is done. I re-propped a few years ago and consider it the single best money spent on my boat to date.
