Re: Bented skeg
A little heat, some hammer banging and it wil be good as new. Just remember to flush the LU, remove all the guts (gears, seals, bearings and shafts) and get a new seal kit and bearings to replace the old ones before you start. Even when you break a skeg it can be rebuilt or you can put on a SkegGuard, but be careful with SkegGuard because it is stainless steel and it is not as forgiving as aluminum. Or you can take it to your local marina and they can fix it for you at a reasonable cost.
