OK...so I bought this 08 Bentley pontoon 240 Cruise from original owner who works out of the country quite a bit, so contacting him is hard.
NAV lights don't work. Wanted to apply Occam's Razor to the problem and check the bulbs first, but Murphy's Law got in my way. I can't seem to find how to open the light cover. Looks like the owner may have possibly had the same problem as the light assemply seems to have been pulled loose on one side...I see the screw. It's a round light with a faux metal shield on the back. I have read the posts on checking with a volt meter. I was just going to try here first.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Bentley Nav Lights

Nav lights consist of the one or two bow lights as well as the stern light. If none of them work, then the bulbs are very likely NOT the problem. Check the fuse first. Then set the switch to the NAV position which would turn on all three. Check the +12 volt feed into the switch. If you see +12 volts that's good. If not, the lights are probably fine so you need to find where the +12 volt feed is interrupted. If the switch has +12 volts on the input side, move to the output side. Remember, there are two output sides on the NAV switch. The NAV side will have power in the NAV position while the ANC side will be active in ANC position (only the stern light on). If you see +12 volts in both those positions then the wiring to the lights is interrupted.

Re: Bentley Nav Lights

Thanks Silvertip....forgot to mention that the stern light does work. I'll just follow from the switch with the volt meter. Just real hard for my fat ***** to get into the access area. Still real curious on how to replace those bulbs though. It was extremely hot on the dock, and I just finished replacing the prop, and my 8 y/o was whining, so I didn't spend the time like I wanted.
Really do appreciate the advise on what to check and what should be working. I know you folks have a wealth of information to give. That's why I joined the forum after reading several other posts.

Rollo,
Is there a set screw on the back side of the lights by the base?
