Best foam????

I have a deck and foam that is rotted.. what is the best foam to use to fill in the rotted spots?

What kind of boat do you have? If it's fiberglass you may have more than just a rotten deck and bad foam.

As for the kind of foam, a lot of people are usinf the pink or blue rigid polystyrene foam sheets you can buy at Home Depot or Lowes.

I personally would tear out and replace all of the foam, it's probably all waterlogged anyway.

Rotted spots are repaired and NOT just filled. Do some reading here and you will see you have some work ahead of you and it is best advised to do it right .......... band aid repairs are hazardous

It is a 1986 Baja Sun sport 185, so fiberglass.. What else do I have to worry about since it is fiberglass. I do plan on repairing/replacing the rotted deck and foam.

Once the deck and waterlogged foam are removed you need to core sample the stringers, bulkheads and transom to ensure they are solid and structurally sound.
