Best outdrive position for towing and storing?

Got the new boat, now some basic questions that amazingly I couldnt find a thread about. Ive heard every answer and now I want to know what you guys do.

Whats the best trim position when the boat is being towed and when its stored? (up when towing, down when stored?)

Want to know where to put this bad boy.

also, side question. when the boat electric is off, the key is out, and everything is shut down as far as I can possibly shut it down, should the basic electrical items still work (aka bilge pump, blower, trim, horn.) First boat weve had and this seems wierd that we can still turn on electrical items even though everything is off. Should these work anytime the battery is connected? or is something wrong here...[I/]

towed up with a transom saver, stored as far down as you can, but keep bow high enough the boat will drain rain.

instruments that work with the motor are the only things that should go thru the ignition switch.

if you like you can install a master switch for all accessiories, radio, lights fish, finders, etc, it is preferable to have a bilge pump with a built in float switch, so it will come on automatically, and should be hot wired to battery.

This will be the shortest RESOLVED thread, in iboat's history!

Unless...some one jumps in to say that they have been towing their outdrive full down, for the last 20 years...and has never had a problem!
