It would help if you gave us the hp. and model number.
Your motor should have been built by the Gale devision of OMC and share many parts with the very similar Evinrude/Johnson motors. The parts you need should be available from the E/J applications right here at Iboats,or your well established E/J dealer or NAPA auto parts; though some NAPA branches don't have a clue about their 600 page Marine Products catalog.

OK thats another story. That is a Gale built single cylinder.About all that shares with the E/J motors is the ignition parts. It does of course share parts with the many private brands built by Gale. You can probably find
pump parts at The Antique Outboard Motor club aomci.org.

Yep, your motor is a 1959 3hp made by Gale Products Division of OMC. The magneto is OMC's "Universal" magneto and parts are available all over the world. Including iboats. The water pump impeller, properly called a "rotor" is available from Brian Wilcox at www.pfs-ware.com/impellers.htm" Don't use the (").

Carb parts are a little tougher. Mercury makes a float that will work with some modification. Fortunatly they usually don't need anything except that and some packings.

For hard-core parts, go to the Antique Outboard Motor Clubs website aomci.org and post a free want ad on their Webvertize page.

I have one of those motors, branded Gale, and it runs like a charm.
