I replaced the rubrail insert on my 23 ft Wellcraft Excalibur yesterday
Did the reading. Everyone said what a pain in the a@@ it was.
Standard type 5 insert
Started out with the old heat gun, putty knive thing and man what a pain that was.
After about 2 feet I decided I had to find another way.
I had been re screening some of the panels on my pool lani over the past week and remembered I had a screening tool laying around.
Tried it out
IT WAS GREAT
Place the bottom of the rail in the track, run the screening tool along the top of the insert and apply pressure behind the area that is being inserted.
Had all 51 feet installed within 30 minutes....
This is a must have tool for anyone that has to do this job.
Hope it helps
