Best Trailer choice and length

I was going to try to paint my current trailer until I could get a galvanized or aluminum one but have since decided to bite the bullet and just spend the money.

My question is should I replace the current trailer with what I currently have (roller trailer) or get one with bunks? Is one better that the other. The boat is 23' with an 8 1/2' width. What size should the new trailer be optimally? It weighs roughly 4k unloaded and fuel tank empty.

i prefer bunks. but it depends on where you lauch the most. i have bunks on all my trailers now. i have a 23 chris craft deckboat on bunks, no problems.
