nice boat, a little to rich for me 'though. i don't have much experience selling either but maybe a few things to consider. First: end of season (certainly here in the northeast) you may fair better late march, early april..next: economy, pretty sure ALL of us are hoping this will turn around & if it does, luxery/sport items like boats will demand a fairer value. tdaddy (moderator) has a lot of experience selling so hopefully he can chime in..anyway i may be way off but if things get economically better, more buyers buying makes selling is easier..

Looks like you're already listing it for sale here with your post. Gee, how clever.

The Craig's List ad looks good. Nice detailed description. If you can, you might want to take more photos and offer a link to a page where they can been seen full size.

I don't mind someone posting like this, as long as they ask for advice.

I wouldn't hold your breath, though. Given the state of the economy, getting someone to turn loose of nearly $40K is going to take a long time. Craig's List is great for moderately-priced stuff, but not so hot for the big bucks items.

I don't think most people in the market for a $40K boat are hunting on Craig's List. Instead, I imagine they're visiting dealers and other places they can see lots of boats in their price range.

TD's advice is good. Pay for listings in places people looking for expensive boats go.

Unfortunately your biggest competition with a boat in that price range will be dealers selling new boats. With VERY motivated dealers offering all sorts of incentives and deeply discounted prices you may find it to be a very tough market to sell a boat that is so close to new. Definitely wait until spring if possible, you will need the largest market possible to find the right buyer. Most people shopping at this time of year are looking for a SUPER BARGAIN so unless you are willing/able to take a substantial loss you will probably have that boat until spring anyway, so why spend your advertising budget now?

True dat! I found one matching the specs, brand new, at a boat dealer in Clarksville, IN, for $38K. Warranty and all. Looks like a lowering of price is going to be needed for this used one.
