best way to pull wires in a center console?

I have an 18' angler center console that I'm trying to install a fish finder in. there is one PVC tube for the wires in the boat and it's fairly packed. Using a fish tape, i can get the wires to about 10" from the end of the tube and no matter what i do it gets stuck. i used duct tape on the end to cover the tape loop, and make a tapered approach to the connector. i also coated it with dish soap, no good. i've also tried to move the cables/wires i have access to from under the console, no luck there either

Is there a better way to do this? Any Tips? I asked the local dealers tech, and he jusy smiled and said "welcome to my world"...

that tube is the only straight shot to gat a fish tape through. I have tomorrow off and i'm determined to get this done, but i'd rather be using the boat instead of working on it all day if possible.

I had a similar problem once and used a piece of cable (garrage door type) to chase my wiring. It was thin enough to slide through the conduit and stiff enough to get all the way through. I just kept twisting it as I pushed it through. and had my wiring taped to the end to complete the run. You may need to burn the end of the cable slightly to keep it from fraying. A little electricitions lube goes a long way...

If all else fails use one of the existing wires to pull in your new wires and a replacement for the one you pulled with. Not my first choice but hey.

Cut the end off of your fish and round it. Have you tried going both ways? How wide is your fish? As previously mentioned, you may need to cut a good strong existing wire to do your initial pull. If you do that, of course remember to include an actual pull line for the return. My last one took me 2 hours to pull.
