Trying to paint the cap of a boat project, but need some advice on sanding. After filling some holes with cabosil/epoxy, I need to sand. I have tried a sanding block and orbital sander, but can't seem to sand it down smooth. Any advice would be appreciated.

What grit are you using? That mixture is HARD to sand. You May have to use 40-60 grit to knock it down and then mix a filler with some cabosil and microballons which makes it a LOT easier to sand.

I was trying 80 Grit, but the problem is more getting to the spot that curves up. I was thinking about using filler and then glassing to get a more uniform appearance. But then the problem is still trying to get to that spot. Might just need to take out the grinder to get it knocked down then come back with a filler.
