Hi all just stated getting my 1967 Glastron 174 running right in the water and have, thanks to a thread on here have my cable adjustment sorted engaging beautifully but not out of gear after finding this was the ignition cut not working. Testing the switch i have found the last person who had the boat (I purchased this boat from a work mate that had the boat fully rewired ect but never had it in the water)has wired the cutout switch to cutout the starter not the ignition.I am not a wiring guru but i can wire a relay and some basics like that. What i would like to know is if i can run the + feed to the coil straight through the switch or do i need to use a relay or do i use the - feed to the coil or something else. Thanks in advance for the advice.
Engine is a 140 hp mercrusier pre alpha.Ive added some photos of her. 001.jpg003.jpg004.jpg
