On my twin 5.7 Mercs I run 14 1/4" x 17" pitch propeller.
The engine runs 4700rpm at WOT which I know is within the manual specs range.
If I were to change pitch to 19 or 20 would it be better on gas?
The boat is an old 26' Formuila deep-v and weights about 6500-7000 lbs.
Any advise is greatly appreciated.
Happy and safe boating season to all !

No it won't help milage, but it will overload your engine and cause excessive wear, it will make it a slooooooooow, process getting on plane, and you will probably see less fuel economy at lower speeds.
Keep the rpms in the rated WOT range for best results, and longest engine life.
