This is a warning to anyone considering purchasing GLM manifolds and risers.
I bought a set several months ago from ebasicpower for my 5.7L Volvo.
After a few hours on the manifolds, I noticed one of them leaking. Upon removal of the riser there was a crack in the flange surface causing the leak.
Ebasicpower replaced the manifold only after I shipped it back to them at my cost. When I got the new manifold it had a problem right out of the box.
There was a large depression in the flange surface. I could have sent it back but chose to have a machine shop face it off to save time -at my cost again.
Installed manifold, a few hours later another leak on the other side, cracked manifold again. Contacted ebasicpower and they said I was out of the 30 day warranty-I would have to talk to GLM. GLM agreed to send me a new set and stated that they would check them out before sending. Got new manifolds a week later, and upon removing paint from flange surface, noticed alot of pits in surface; installed them anyway and of course they leaked. One actually leaked thru casting away from joint because of porosity.
At this point over half the summers gone and Im sick of replacing manifolds.
Contacted GLM to get my money back and they said that they could'nt do that bu if I return the manifolds they will replace them. (That would consume another 2 weeks). At this point I guess Im going to have to cut my losses and buy OEM manifolds and take a $500 hit on the junk GLM manifolds.
Let this be a lesson to anyone trying to save money by buying these manifolds; they have serious quality problems and all the company is willing to do is replace junk with more junk.
