Bf100 overheat and now no spark

My mother gave me her Honda bf100. She says it had weak water flow and overheated after idling for a while. She opened it up and saw some yellow plastic had melted and dripped down the back of the engine. Like what is in a Electronic Ignition.

I found the yellow rubbery plastic full of bubbles and with a 1/4 inch rubber ring around it but I can't find where it came from.

No spark.

Bf100 CDI

Good compression.

I have not taken the flywheel off yet.
