Hi, My BF45A starts and runs like new and then after anywhere from 30 min to 4 hours dies and won't restart. After sitting for a few hours it restarts and runs like new. It has done this about a dozen times at various speeds and loads.
After talking to a Honda mechanic he decided it must be the ignition switch. (we checked all other possibilities, I think) Has anyone ever heard of this problem? We considered putting a hotwire to it and seeing if that cured the problem, but I don't know if I will mess up the electronics. What the heck does the switch do besides start the engine and keep it running anyway?
