Big foot 4 stroke wont run past idle in the water

I have a 50 hp 4 stroke big foot sreial # OG961361 wouldnt run when I got the boat ex owner said he thought the carbs needed rebuilt ... I did an ohms test on the ignition parts all looked up to specs except the controller/computer pack part number 8250981 replaced that and on the muffs it fired right up runs smooth . till I got to the water thats all it will do, push the throttle and it dies. so I check the spark and it looks week plugs are wet ... but it will re fire back up fast and clean ... wont run past idle in gear so now time to check the stator it looks good on the ohms test .need to do a dva test ... need help as how to do that and where to get one as I boats is not showing one .. tired of throwing parts at this thing .any help would be appreciated

Ayuh,... If the plugs are Wet,...

How come ya haven't Rebuilt the Carbs,..??

Seems like the week spark is the issue after i checked it . It was red and not blue and would not make the 3/8 gap jump . also if it were the carbs all 4 flooding at the same time but would idle in gear for 15 minutes still seems strange to me .

2 new coils did the trick... did that before the controller but it must have fried them any way runs like a champ now
