I just received my package of spoons from Kiwi Phil. I received 22 lures (spoons) in exchange for one old stinky T-Shirt.:eek:

A big, big, thank you to Phil and his brother.:D:D:D

Bottom row, second from the right - my favorite lure. Great on a sunny day.

"So many lures..........So little time"

that's what is written on it.....and very apropriate to my life....hence my liking it.

It arrived yesterday....Anita was crook with a tummy bug, so took her to the Dr so wore it, with pride of course.
My Dr was at the counter, and commented, "where the hull did you get that from" meaning his life is like mine.

Also went to the Cabellas site you blokes gave me and today I recieved 6 T-shirts...John Deere of course....in different colors and styles etc.

Hayden found a site and got himself some with Fender guitars.

We hate what is available...either tacky comments or designer labels, and I guess my attitude of hating something with Niki etc on it has rubbed off on the young bloke.

I'm happy, and happy T2F is too.

Yep, QC got Hayden a good Gretsch guitar.
Told his teacher today, who asked how come he can afford that, thinking I was paying. Hayden told him if he picked and packed as many herbs as he did, and mowed as many neighbours lawns, he too could have one. (nicely of course). The other 4 kids who work with Hayden spend their bucks recharging their phones and in the school tuck-shop. So he can buy as many guitars as he likes.

The secret to using down-under lures is....
1. use your opposite hand
2. face your back to water
3. flick your rod up and over your shoulder

I'm happy.
Cheers

Re: Big thanks to Kiwi Phil

Just re-read some of the comments.
Don't laugh.........Adrian once made a range that were brass cylinders with a hole in centre (line fed thru) and a tripple hook trailing behind, and have what resembles 2 little propellers on the sides, and they corkscrew thru the water, but they wind up your line (twist), so after a while you unclip the 'red' swivel and replace with a 'blue' one, and it corkscrews the opposite way, unwinding your line.
Trout use to chase it and nail it from the rear .......the hooks were always well inside them.
Cheers
Phillip

Dang....that's one heck of a trade off for a T-shirt.
