Big Twin 1957

wants to start up, putts then quits, only sometimes. doesnt seem to want to idle at all, got it to run once but had to keep it reving or else it will just quit, very very inconsistent.

would it need a carb rebuild

Check compression, check for spark, check plug wires and plugs, clean the carb and reset the low-and high-speed carb needles. Those are very reliable workhorse motors...read the top secret file at the top of this forum.
