Im back to my boat project and read jasonj"s post, we cut are boats up about the same time only i removed the top hull and cut back the deck a couple feet,I replaced the transom, glassed it in and put the top back on with a new rub rail.
My boats a 19ft glass runabout V hull,its a 1978 steruy,powerd by a94 johnson112 spl.
My quetions are regarding the bilge area,
I want to be able to wash the in side of the boat, the gas tank is a flat style, shaped like the hull and it sets a the bilge drain area under the splash guard,
Is this the orignal spot for it?
Im planing on puting two drains in the back, should i relocate the tank?
How dos the drain system work on this kind of boat? well thanks for any info on the subject,Ive been taking pictures and ill try to post them.

Re: bilge&deck drain

I think you'll need to mount the tank on strips of something, So the water can drain under it....
The drains are for when the boat is on the trailer....
When in the water, It's Best to have a bilgepump or 2.... Depending on the boat....
