I'm posting here because the VIP board has very little to no activity :(.

I have a 2001 VIP Baystealth center console that has a "plastic" plug with an o-ring. It's does not have the standard brass 1/2 IPS threads so rather than waiting for me to mis-place or lose it, I thought I'd ask where I can purchase a spare plug? There isn't a VIP dealer here locally so any help ise greatly appreciated.

If Iboats doesn't have a plug for your boat I'd be surprised, I've only seen two types either screw in or expansion type, can't imagine anything else sorry, maybe somebody else can help.

Here's the VIP plug I'm referring to.

Here are the THREE plugs...VIP Plastic Plug, Brass Plug and Expandable Plug.
The tab on the VIP plug is inserted in the drain hole which holds has the plug "dangling" place when unscrewed... that's one reason why I'd like to have a spare for a back-up .

Any help??

I see now, mama has a lemonade jug with a plug just like that one, or very close anyhow, try a plumbing outlet sore for a nylon plug.

Does the go in from the outside of the boat? Can you just replace the whole thing with a brass one. Also you might check the plumbing section at Manards. might find something there.

I been beating the bushes and found this, of all places on this site. The plug appears to be identical to what I have except for the color.
