Bilge Pump fuse

After I installed 2 new batteries my bilge pump <br />started blowing fuses. Currently I use 10 amp<br />fuses. Prior to installing the new batteries<br />I never had a fuse problem.<br /><br />Any suggestions

Put a volt, ohm, ammeter inline at the pump and see how many volts it has to run on and how many amps it's actually pulling. <br /><br />If the volts are low it will blow fuses, and if it's pulling too many amps at the correct voltage the pump is bad.
