The bilge pump just up and quit yesterday, had been working all day, then nothing. Could this be a fuse or is there any type of history on replacing bilge pump on a 96 Stingray 556 ZP.
I think the bigger question would be, why does your bilge have to work all day? If your boat is taking on that much water you should fix that problem as well as the bilge.
Your bilge be very close to the transom, you should take a look at how you're going to access it, you may have to remove some things (gas tank, battery, etc.) to get to it.
Take a volt/ohm meter and see if you are getting power to the unit. If yes replace the pump as it is burned out - if no work your way back and find the break in the circuit.

^^^ do what he says. if there is no power at the pump, it could be the fuse.
then do what jjigngrub said and figure out why you are taking on so much water... maybe you aren't taking on water and had the pump on, pumping air all day... that would burn it up.
It could have just sucked up some bilge trash, a peice of paper or a shell and if you clear that ti shoudl work again.
Agree, if you have to run your pup all day you need to find a nd seal the leak, thet is very bad,it can cause all sorts of problems with foam and the glass in your boat.
