I have used mainly Rule pumps in my boats and have heard/read some bad reviews about Attwood pumps. Any recommendations?
I'm looking for low amp draw as well as capacity.

The 500 GPH Attwood pump mounting bracket tabs break too easily.

Another vote for Rule. The Attwood that came with the boat only lasted a few years.

These two are inversely proportional and not dependent on brand. Go with the largest capacity that will fit.

Rule rules for me. Have a 1500 and works great. Have a friend who uses Attwood and he likes them also. My experience is the float is usually the problem.

go with the 3 wire pump, that has the automatic feature, and the manual, switch on the console. i run to independent pumps, one 3 wire, one totally manual, separate batteries, and thru hull fittings. Brands are brands, salt water they will all die.
