I have a 19 cc anglar boat i keep it docked at a marina, it has a 500 gph bilge with a float switch was wandering if it is big enough for the boat? should i install a 1100 gph pump. the pump that is in there now is about 3 years oild it is a rule, it is not a fully automatic one, it has a float switch wired to it!

Not saure what that means. Sounds like a contradiction. Does the float switch not work?

Anyway, 500 GPH is plenty for a 19 ft boat.

Re: bilge pump

I would just get a cheap 360gph pump and add it to your current pump. That way you have a backup if one fails, and you can use them together to get 860gph.
