Just bought my first ever boat, a 1997 Sea Nymph TX175. When I went to test it out neither the bilge pump or pump to live well was working. No big deal I didn't think as they only cost about $25 each anyway and I got him to come down $600 below what he wanted. I'm going to try and start diagnosing the problem tonight whether the pumps are bad or they are not getting power. Just wondering if anyone has any helpful tips to pass on before I get started

there must be a short somewhere or something because the nav lights were working then werent and went back to working. same with fish finder. I was by myself and didnt have the right tester to see if wires were hot without touching at the connection. I'll have to get back at it tomorrow, I hope I don't have to end up hiring someone
