Hi fellow-boaters,

After 8 months, I'm still experiencing water-intrusion in my Larson 274. After having dried out the bilge, there is always water after heavy rain. I'm talking about half a bucket in let's say one week (no mistake: even with the boat out of the water) Till now I havent' found the exact cause. Maybe the portholes, and then descending towards the engine-room ? What's odd is this: there always seems to be water around the fresh watertank to port. Could it be entering by the air-intakes ?? The rubbingstrip ?? It all seems a bit unlikely, but... Any of you guys have usefull hints ? Any will do ...Thanks !

more info on the boat. age a picture would also help. if the boat is on the trailer, if you are draining the boat, every week, and there is no rain, then you have something internal something internal of the boat leaking. is the level of the fresh water tank dropping?

I noticed on mine with no rain I get water in the bilge,
its morning condensation running down the deck and finding its way in there.

my boat will be soaking wet at sunrise from morning condensation.
You probally have a live well leaking. Try pulgging and water tanks.

That was also my first thought....but the level is constant. What I've seen is that there is certainly water coming from the hole connecting the enginecompartment to the fuel-tank. In a 274 there is a very low void running under the fuel tank (midships), coming all the way from the bow. Hard to say if this does account for the lot, but it's there all right... I once had a leak coming from underneath the main windscreen. A hole drilled in error was not filled up afterwards...Luckely, It was just visible.
