Is it possible to get parts for bimini tops or old convertables? I've got a top for a 1968 Sea Star (just picked up this week), it has some rails (and I can see where they were attached) but I think there's supposed to be a pole involved as well.

Probably have to make on outta PVC.. but I thought I'd ask.

It looks like the only parts I do have are the slide assembly (looks similar to this and the canvas/snaps.

I'm guessing that there is something that slides inside these 'slide assemblies' which would attach to a support pole/frame? Judging by the prices for peices parts, I might be better off buying a new top... But I'll certainly check out the rest of the stuff there..!

I just purchased those plastic pieces that slide into those rails you refer to. Bought them at a place called Paul's Marine in central OH. They cost me 3.20 for two. They are ten times as strong as the one's that I replaced that broke.

First I'll have to figure out if the existing canvas is still good, it looks like it was stored properly (dry, cool, no sun) for a long time.
