Boats coming next week. Would like to order top made for the 1425 classic SS (side console).
Several questions. Since a Bimini from Lund is over $600 I'd like to buy one from a site like Overtons, Boatcovers etc.
Any recommendations?
Also if you have a similar brand model, Smokercraft, Sylvan, Alumacraft etc of this boat . . . how high is your bimini?
They seem to come in 3 heights. I don't know if I need to stand? If I get it too high it seems to me it will defeat the purpose of keeping the sun off you on hot days.
So how high is yours from the bow to the floor? Pics of what it looks like on your boat would be great. I'll be doing some down rigging for Lakers and I also like to go for bass.
I have it down to the sunbrella fabric and a 3 bow setup. I know my width is 76 inches so all I'm missing is the height. I'd like to get a jump on the delivery time for a bimini.
Do you think I should just order the 54 inch model and cut it down if it's too high for the 1425 classic?
Any experiences with sloppy fits even though a particular site says it's for the Lund 1425 classic SS or similar?
Any sites to stay away from?
Anyone using the "bimini butler" that allows you to adjust the height up and down? Does it make your top rickety or make it rattle and noisy?
Thanks
Lotsa questions here but any input/help appreciated since I figure I'll have to shell out $300 plus!
