I've looked everywhere for one and haven't found one or any for that matter.

I will try that link, thank you

I believe Chieftains of that vintage came with a convertible top. Personally, I think a Bimini would look funny on that boat, plus it might be hard to match the correct height because the cabin and windshield are so high.

If you decide to go with a period correct (and more functional) convertible top, a custom canvas shop would be your only alternative.

But just my opinion.

Funny looking? Looks fine to me.

Measure the gunnel width, measure the height you need and choose the length. Not able to say right now the exact size I ordered for my Chief but can when I get home tonight.

No, you're right, it looks pretty nice - better than I had imagined, never having seen one.

I guess i would have gone the convertible top route anyway. The usual reason for a Bimini is to get stand-up height. But with the Chieftain there is already ample height, plus there is no walk-thru windshield to have to deal with.

For my current runabout I had an eisenglass bow curtain added to the Bimini for off-season boating. It cost as much as the Bimini, but this time around I DID want a stand-up.

That is beautiful!

Exactly what i'd like to buy for mine! Do you remember what the make and model number is? I'd love to get one. Your help is very appreciated!

I got the bimini elsewhere, not at iboats so I can't violate forum rules with info on that. I got one with rear support poles, size is 6' long, 54" high, 73-78 wide with stainless hardware. Take you own measurements to be sure you're getting what you want.

I put push pins with ball bearing detents in the gunnel mounts of the rear support poles so they can be easily put up and down.
