I have a 2001 glastron 195 sx and am new to the boating world. Any helpful hints i could get on stabilizing my bimini top from rocking side to side from you more experianced guys would be great! It's a 3 bow top in good condition and great except for the wobbling. If this is already covered, i'm sorry but can't find it. Still kinda new to the forum.

Re: bimini top

Do have a photo of it that would help to generate ideas.

I used extra straps to stablize mine when at higher speeds.

by the way Welcome to Iboats!

Annoying isn't it.

I bungee the main support poles port and starboard to the windshield frame.

If you can't find a suitable place to hook a bunge You could also install couple of small cleats or eyes to do the same.

Re: bimini top

We have a much bigger three support bimini on a Glastron DX 235 and it is rock solid. Can you tighten the the front straps? Some biminis have a diagonal pole on the aft support, you might try that.

May try some sort of diagonal support. Cant think of any way to make it permanant though. Maybe if i quick connect it it won't be a very big hassel.

Re: bimini top

You could move the eyes that your straps hook to a little out to the sides a little also, that way they pull back on the top keeping it tight and the pull to the side..idea being that with the strapps pulling to each side it will be more stable

Re: bimini top

this may not be how yours attaches but here is all you need to do
You can move the tops in on both (pretty good) or you can add additional straps on both sides (ideal) lastly you can an additional strap on the pass side and tension it slightly (good enough but looks funny)
