I'm gonna be that guy this year, last one at the dock. Last out, first in. Our marina shuts it down October 15th, with $100 fine daily for any laggards. Makes sense given we are at 8,300' here in Colorado home port, it's already snowed a few times, and water temps are dipping into the low 50's F.

No doubt I'll have to leave work on a school day, freeze my butt off winterizing in less than ideal conditions, and get rude stares from our otherwise friendly marina folks.

Don't care. Holding on 'till the bitter end. The last day may just finally yield that 30" Mackinaw I've been stalking all summer, or a mermaid may just finally appear, or the Lowrance will show some sunken treasure, or I can do the single-man slalom with no driver, or .........

Arrgggghh!

NAW, I've given up already on this season. It started bad when I wrenched my back this spring putting in too early and the trailer and truck both got sucked into te soft ground. Then spent 3 months in rehab for the buldging disk and muscle spasms. Only got on the water about 6 times this year. So now it's going into the garage and drydock for refitting. Plan is to be done by ice out.

Hey you're too close to Lake Powell to call it quits. We went last month, and the weather and water was perfect. There is hardly any traffic in the channel, and motels are cheap. That being said I put the boat away 2 weeks ago. Dave-R

First mate bumming at season's end. 60F air temps, blue sky, and snow on the Continental Divide made for bittersweet last day for him.

Golden Aspen leaves hanging on as well:

Hoping for that Mackinaw on this Wednesday's pullout.

Wow,
That really is some beautiful landscape you have to look at!
I'm done as of 2 weeks ago, water level is getting low (annual year end draw-down) and with colder weather we arent doing the swimming/ sunning that we love so much.
