Unbridled avarice. This is why I never go near store on Black Friday, the day after, ironically, we celebrate being thankful for what we already have.

Ironic for sure. Gotta say, I've never wanted anything that bad in my whole life. Lack of ambition, I guess.

Really pretty sad, especially if you consider the original intent of Black Friday sales. Wonder how many of those phones will actually be given as gifts, VS how many were for their own pockets. :(

Irony........The only place in the world where people will trample each other for cheap electronics, one day after celebrating a holiday in which they give thanks for the things they ALREADY have.

Day after Every black Friday at the WM I go to, there is usually a pallet of each black Friday item ( except the 'doorbusters' ) still on the floor for sale at the black Friday price.. Most every year, I check it out that Saturday but this year, just didn't care to. Came close to buying a 32" LCD TV last year, but the 27" Sylvania CRT TV still works fine, which was bought at the Ames across town when they were liquidating.

Black Friday, kids toys are not usually discounted, some clothing is discounted, but it's mostly electronics. Beyond a few people buying gifts for others, most are out for themselves.

Doesn't that look like fun. I'd rather wait and pay full price than deal with that mess. Some people are just plain nuts.

I know a guy who went to our local Walmart Thursday nite. Some woman raised an I-Pad or something in the air and yelled "woo hoo". I guess a guy then snatched it out of her hand. Cops had to be called too because a couple of women were going at it. This is small town USA. Happens everywhere I guess. True Christmas spirit...........

Heard similar stories at other Walmart stores in my area.

Interestingly enough, the store I work for at night (NOT Walmart btw), offers its Black Friday specials online as well as in the stores. This year there was free shipping to boot so no real need to step foot in a store to get the Black Friday specials from there. And to top it off, the same deals were offered starting Saturday morning. When I went in on Saturday, around 7 am, I was able to get in/out with the deals I wanted with no muss/no fuss. And that's with bringing my 6 month old son into the store! **Reason I went in...Employee Discount :D

I have no interest in going to the chain stores on Black Friday...that wore off when I was a teenager. Now, I prefer parking my butt in a comfy chair and ordering online.
