Blow Off valve orientation? (225)

This seems like it should be a no-brainer... which way does this valve go? It has a "to head" arrow on it, but it doesn't mount on the head, it mounts to the block. It's #18 on this diagram:

I should have said, "seal orientation". It has "to head" written on one side.

Taking a closer look at my parts, it looks like"to head" faces out. I forget which way it was originally installed, but it was leaking, so maybe it's just a bad seal. I'll replace it and update the valve at the same time.
