Blow something electrical?

Is it possible to blow, maybe the Starter soleniod, or anything else, if trying to jump the boat motor with a truck? It's a 1985 Force 125, with an 800 CCA battery. The truck is a 1994 Ford Ranger. It was low on batter, but still sort of cranked the boat, so I thought i'd jump it, just like you would to any car. But after I did that, and it didn't work again, I charged the battery overnight. Hooked it back up, and everything worked, except the motor didn't do anything. The push choke wouldn't work, the starter didn't spin... Although, the radio, horn, bilge and all that worked just fine. So I took a screwdriver and connected the two prongs on the starter soleniod and got it started(I had to, winter is coming this weekend, so I had to force it to start) So I got it all winterized, but what are the bad things that happened, or could happen from what this post explains? Thanks for your help in advance!

There's a blown fuse in the motor. It'll probaby be an ATC-20 (or ATO-20). Take the hood off, you'll find it. Boat systems are fused separate from motor systems. Jumping with an auto or truck should be no problem as long as it's a 12v system and not 24v.

Where are the fuses? The only one I can find is one i have inside of a wire coming out of the battery, looks like it goes up to the instrument cluster or something, and that one is fine, where else to look?

Thanks!

Try part number 38 on this LINK The blow up is crappy and hard to see. My guess is it will be close to your starter solinoid.
