Should just be a positive and negative wire.

That's it. Hot to the blower switch wire, ground to ground, piece of cake...

Re: blower question

More than likely you will have to cut and splice the wire. Most don't come with and quick-connect plug. But, this would be a great opportunity to add one.

Re: blower question

You need to splice the wires and use a good heat shrink over it. Be generous. The last thing you want when you turn on the blower to remove gas fumes is a spark from the splice. Kinda defeats the point of having a blower.

It is, however, an easy task. See, I don't even call it a job. Now, if it were...:D

I don't know about that, sometimes blowers are installed in some godawful places...

Yeah, now that I think of it, my Rinker blower was hard to get to. A new piece of vent hose and relocation was in order on that.:D

Re: blower question

I mean, I work for a builder, and you wouldn't believe some of the locations we put them in...as if my boss thinks they'll run forever!

The interesting thing is, in my sidework, I find them exhibiting the same failure symptoms as the OP described. The shaft starts squealing, leave it go long enough and it binds up and trips the breaker...

Re: blower question

As bob said some blowers get put in the worst places, if yours is a bear to
re and re just put the new one in an easly acsessible point and extend the hoses.
