Does anyone know if one should be able to blow through the pulse limiter?

I see some sort of diaphragm in mine and I can blow through it ....the diaphragm is clean...

You should be able to blow through otherwise it would not work. If the engine should backfire the piece in the limiter prevents the pump from being damaged. I don't know if it acts as a baffle or closes the nipple off completely, somebody here will know that

It simply is a ---" flow fuse "----It closes when there is too much air flow.---Prevents the plastic VRO pump from blowing into 10 pieces should there be a backfire in the crankcase !!
