I suppose it’s a internal seal.

Turn on the water garden hose muffs and watery blue goo dripping from where prop meets gear case

Thoughts on what
parts i should order before i drop the lower unit?

any secret tips .?

thanks. appleo

More info

1. Not gear oil. gear oil drained and is tan
2 motor not in the water for 5 years
3. found one carb overflowing. re. mouse nest in throat 🙄
4 believe this mercury i’s thru hub exhaust

Thinking now the blue is gas/water/oil combo. carb sent excess gasoline out the exhaust.

will retest when sun comes out

For sure a thru hub exhaust and yes it most likely the un-burnt oil/fuel mixture running down the exhaust
I hope you're not using 2-stroke oil for weed wackers/lawnmowers etc.

USE [h=1]Quicksilver Premium Plus 2-Cycle Outboard Oil TC-W3[/h] Less smoke & your engine will thank you

Looking at your 'Tan' Gear Oil, I would say it has water in it. So do what racer suggested, get the gearcase pressure checked
