Blue Sea Add a Battery?

I'm planning to add a deep cycle battery to run my amplifier and use the add a battery kit. Is there any need to get the same brand as my starting battery, or since the 2 are isolated, can I just buy whatever brand of deep cycle I can find?

You don't have to match battery brands, but it is usually best to match battery types. Like don't mix a gel cell with a conventional battery. But mostly that's a problem for battery chargers. They get confused with multiple battery types.
