Hi guys new here and I am literally pulling my hair out.
Ok so I have a 1979 mercury 50hp 2stroke 4 cylinder blueband just had a full service at my local marine engineering facility (would never go back there).
so I got the engine back and it would not tick over but that was an easy fix. My issue is that I cant get the boat to more than 10 knots it's only a small 16ft dayboat (Wilson flyer type) and I can get almost that out of my backup engine that is only a 4hp .
now when I throttle up from stand still she picks up lovely but she bogs down at around 10 and it sounds like it's not reving high. I have checked the tank, lines and the obvious just wondering if there is a way to adjust the high speed jets like you can with the idle?
Would really appreciate any help on this matter
Thanks in advance
