bluefin 1977

hey guys i have just purchased a 1977 aluminum bluefin and i found a small soft spot about the size of my fist. is there anything i should worry about? should i redo the boat? let me know. thanks.

Welcome to iboats!!

32 years old..... it's time to investigate that spot. Is it on the deck or casting deck? I would look hard and see whats ahead

a small soft sopt could mean a dozen different things.....

but you best be doing some more investigating with a hammer and a drill......search core sample....

decks on alum boats are easy to replace.

its more to the back and the front of boat seems solid and yes i am new to boating and so these that might come up may be unfamiliar. Transom seem solid and i will put pictures up tommorow for sure. i bought this boat without a motor and so i will be needing help to install a motor. thanks!
