Hi Can anyone offer any thoughts on the above engine / drive? One is being offered for sale locally and I'm wondering whether it would be a worthwhile conversion for my boat. I'm currently running an old Mercruiser 228 V8 which goes great but is a bit thirsty. I'm not after racing boat like performance, but I understand that the BMW is 165hp, correct? Do these engines perform ok, and reliable. Parts availability for both engine and drive? Does anyone have a spec sheet for one of these, with data such as power / torque, fuel consumption, dimensions, weight? Many thanks.
