so my brother and i bought a board last year, its used we got it when we got our 2010 obrien screamer tube, and 2010 obrien lowrider kneeboard.

The board is an Obrien Ace 137 with medium hyperlite temet bindings.

Im 6ft 170 pounds shoe size 9.5
He is 6ft 160 pounds shoe size 11
Friends are anywhere from 5'9" - 6'ft 160-200lbs and shoe size 9.5 to 12

we have difficulty getting out of the bindings. we use dish soap to get in. we normally get toe curl, where ur toe curls under ur foot and it hurts like a mofo, but u can fix it fast.

i got up my very first time on this board, it was my first attempt ever of wakeboarding.
we all use to skate, and all currently snowboard. the guy said the board is for intermediate to advance. in all honesty i think we could use any style board, we are all very fast learners and after a few times out we were all getting a few feet of air without a tower... we just ordered a tower this season.

Is this board good for us? i think we should get bigger bindings, but maybe we need a bigger board as well? there are no rails in our area im sure we could make one...but for this post lets just keep to the fact we only use the board for carving and getting air.

What board would u recommend? is this a good setup maybe better bindings?

if your the same-ish size what setup do u use looking for intermediate to advanced riders opinions

Thats me on the kneeboard, first black flip attempt

Re: Board set up

I think bigger bindings are the best idea. The bindings make a big difference in your control and comfort. Usually you can try them on in the shop before you buy. The board is basically fine. If you go to a bigger size it floats a little easier but might not cut as hard. When you look for a new board try to demo the boards so you can get one that feels really good. There are big differences in how they react, and it is often not related to the marketing info on how they are supposed to feel.
Have fun

Bindings would be the first thing I would replace, I've tried those on and went the cheap route with an obrien package and I replaced it in a matter of weeks. A good set of bindings will make all the difference in the world I promise. Your control on take off and landing will be like night and day. I even had a nagging knee injury that went away after the switch.
