Considering buying one of those BBQ's that go on gunwale-boats 16.5' I saw a model with attachment to slide into flush mount trolling rod holder....anyone using 1 of these BBQ's?<br /><br />Concerned with how long it stays hot after, keeping the hot dogs from rolling off :) ....propane on boat worries me too.

I had one I made myself that was similar in design to the one you are referring to. I also had a pole setup that I could stab into the sand to put it atop. It's great for meeting up with friends and doing beercan chickens. It only stays hot for about 15 minutes after you shut off the gas. Less if you leave the lid tilted.

Like studly said, they cool down quick. Ours is cool by the time we're done eating.
